This Mississippi Genealogy & History Network (MSGHN) site provides genealogical information on various projects and all Mississippi counties.
we offer information of genealogy and historical importance to the state as a whole and best of all; we are exclusive to the State of Mississippi. We are not a National organization.
All of our county sites, along with
our State and Project sites, are maintained by volunteers.
You will find a diversity of style
among our web sites and some will have more information than
others, some counties are, of course, older than others and some
have kept better records, but our County Directors strive to obtain
and publish new information every month. You'll find all
of our sites well organized and easy to access, but feel free to
contact the County Directors if you have a question.
Nearly all of our counties offer "lookups" if you have a specific inquiry and
the reference material is available to them or one of their
lookup volunteers, they'll be glad to assist you.
In short, MSGHN and all of its'
volunteers welcome you and invite you to visit with us. We
hope you find those for whom you seek.
Interested in becoming a volunteer County Coordinator?
The Mississippi Genealogy & History Network is a new venture and is in need of volunteers
to maintain many of the county sites that are available. Have you ever thought that you might like to try your hand at creating and maintaining a web site for genealogy researchers? Now is your chance; don't let this opportunity pass you by. Check out our State pages and learn what the requirements are to become a County Director. You will find the volunteer guidelines in the left hand column. Check them out and then contact the State Director, Everette Carr.
